Jodi + Rich. Avondale, Pennsylvania Wedding.

I knew about a year in advance that this wedding was going to be awesome, because I met these guys at another awesome wedding I shot last year. I was so so flattered when Jodi + Rich asked me to come all the way from Costa Rica to shoot their wedding in PA. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces there, and great to be back "home" for a few days. Everything was beautiful and full of love and I felt very luck to be a part of it.





















One thing I totally forgot about East Coast summers is that it doesn't get dark until, like, 9 o'clock at night.  Considering it gets dark here every day at 6 on the dot, all year long, it was really funny to me that I had to wait until I was leaving to get these next two shots. 


Thanks, guys, for a wonderful evening, it was so wonderful to see you again.  Pura vida.

liz + jared. harper's ferry engagement shoot.

With some people the line between clients and friends just gets completely blurred, and Liz and Jared are a perfect example of that.  I met them last month at their home in Virginia and we drove over state lines to the quaint town of Harper's Ferry, West Virginia for their engagement shoot.  Quaint might actually be an understatement, so steeped in historically rustic charm the town almost seems like a fabricated tourist attraction.  And of course, this being October and the peak of Autumn, it was all the more picturesque.  After the shoot we all went out to dinner and talked all things Costa Rica and weddings, and since then we have hung out three more times on our home turf, where we talked about everything else.  I can't wait until their wedding next November, though I feel pretty certain we'll be seeing them back in Costa Rica before then.

stefania + daniel. martha's vineyard wedding.

Congratulations Stefania + Daniel.  I love you guys and am so happy for you.  Thanks for having me shoot the wedding, it was so much fun, everything was amazing, and it was so wonderful to see everyone again.  You guys rock.
