Running off to Costa Rica with just a few friends as witnesses is pretty much the most romantic thing ever.  This couple was so lovely and never stopped smiling the whole afternoon.

This was one of those really special weddings where everything aligns for a truly unforgettable experience. I can't even begin to express how in love with this couple I am. I was so moved by their love for each other, and for their friends and family, and by all of the love and attention they put into making every detail perfect. They are the impossibly lucky combination of warmth, creativity, love, and Canadian.

As luck would have it, I was already planning on being in Santa Teresa when these guys booked me for the 2nd.  If the first wedding of the year is any indication of the season to come, it's gonna be a good one.  This was really fun, warm, and beautiful.  Nice folks, good vibes, and a gorgeous sunset.  2010 is off to a great start.

A very good ending to a very great year.  Renee and Ben met in my home town of Montclair, NJ, so it felt meant to be that they found me.  I had so much fun at this very intimate wedding (only four guests!).  Here are a few moments from their wedding day:




















Weddings like this only happen once in a blue moon.  OK, that was corny.  But it was lovely.  Happy New Year, everyone.  And Pura Vida.

This was my first wedding of the season down here, and I was lucky enough to be joined by the talented Richard May (the shots of Gene getting ready are his). I also got to cover the rehearsal dinner which was really cool because the bride's mom surprised them with the performance artists. The wedding day it was pouring all afternoon, one of those torrential tropical rains that seemed like it would never end, but the sun broke out literally minutes before Marisa walked down the aisle. It was awesome.
