claire + sean. engagement session.

I get so excited when couples want to do engagement sessions.  They are really fun, they give me a chance to get to know the couple before the wedding day, and the portraits are always fresh and beautiful and casual.   The nature of destination weddings does not always allow for an engagment session, but I do highly recommend trying to squeeze one in if you are coming down to Costa Rica to get married.

I met Claire and Sean yesterday at Cala Luna, and I was really glad we decided to stay at the hotel for the shoot because there was so much color there.  We walked all over the resort, and even down the road to their family's villa to get some fun shots.  They are so perfect for each other and just laughed the entire time.

There's a first for everything, and this was my first time shooting an engagement session in a bathroom.  I couldn't resist that awesome tile, though, and Claire and Sean were clearly game for anything.

I can't wait for the wedding tomorrow.  Knowing these guys it will be a festive and fun event and I'll be posting the images from that soon.
